U-shaped geometry — grip without leaning forward

A straight handhold at the seatpost forces the passenger to sit close and lean toward it. The Joyride Bars' U-shape extends the grip rearward, toward where the passenger actually sits — especially relevant on the Captain's Chair, where the seating position is further back on the deck. The passenger sits naturally against the seat and the grip meets their hands, rather than the other way around. Bigger kids and adults, with their longer torsos, benefit most from this geometry.

The Captain's Chair provides the seat, backrest position, and side rails; the Joyride Bars close off the front. Together they surround the passenger on all sides — an enclosed cabin that gives a child a defined, contained space with grip points in every direction. In cargo mode, the same enclosure holds boxes or crates: the chair's structure at the back and sides, the Joyride Bars at the front, keeping cargo from sliding forward under braking.

Extended rails — hand protection built in

The rails extend beyond the grip position, so the passenger's hands sit inboard of the bar ends. In tight passages, alongside walls, or in the brush of a shared path, the rail takes the contact rather than fingers. It's the same principle as a handguard on a motorcycle lever — the structure reaches further than the hand it protects.

Seatpost mount — 30.9–34.9 mm, saddle height matters

The clamp fits seatposts from 30.9 to 34.9 mm — the range across the Orox, GSD, HSD, Quick Haul, and Short Haul. Because the bars clamp to the exposed seatpost below the saddle, a rider with a very low saddle position may not have enough post showing for the clamp to sit at a usable height.
