SM-RT10
An entry-level Centerlock rotor with solid stopping power for hybrid, beginner MTB, road, and kids' bikes — fits with either BB tool or cassette lockring tool.
The Shimano SM-RT10 is a no-fuss entry-level Centerlock rotor suited to hybrid, city, beginner mountain, and children's bikes. The lockring accepts both internal spline (BB tool) and external spline (cassette lockring tool) installation — meaning you can fit it with whichever tool you have on hand. Available in 160mm and 180mm. Important: compatible with resin brake pads only — not for use with metallic/sintered pads.
Highlights
Dual-spline lockring — fits two tool types
The lockring features both internal and external splines, accepting a standard bottom bracket tool or a cassette lockring tool. Reduces the chance of being stranded without the right tool at installation or service time.
Centerlock interface
Shimano's Centerlock system uses a single lockring for fast, precise rotor mounting. More secure and easier to true than 6-bolt in high-load applications. Requires a Centerlock-compatible hub.
Resin pads only — important compatibility note
The SM-RT10 is designed for use with resin (organic) brake pads exclusively. Do not pair with metallic or sintered pads — doing so will damage the rotor surface and reduce braking performance.
