Tern Luggage Truss CMT
A Combo Mount version of the Luggage Truss — same KLICKfix quick-release interface and integrated lock, but attaches to the Combo Mount system found on Tern cargo bikes rather than the head tube screw holes used by the Gen 2.
The Luggage Truss CMT serves the same purpose as the Luggage Truss Gen 2 — a lightweight front cargo adapter that brings KLICKfix bag and basket compatibility to the front of the bike — but is designed for Tern bikes equipped with the Combo Mount rather than head tube screw holes. The Combo Mount is a frame-integrated attachment system found on Tern cargo bikes, also used by the Hauler Rack and Transporteur Rack. Mounting to the frame keeps cargo weight off the fork, preserving steering feel. The KLICKfix interface and integrated lock are identical in function to the Gen 2.

Frame weight — not fork weight
Positioning cargo on the frame rather than the fork keeps load off the steering assembly. On cargo bikes where front loads can be substantial, this distinction matters — the fork remains unloaded, steering stays accurate and predictable under weight.
KLICKfix quick-release — full ecosystem compatibility
The KLICKfix interface clicks bags and baskets on and off in seconds without tools. Compatible with Tern's Hold 'Em Basket Gen 1, HQ Bag Gen 1, and Kanga Rack Gen 1, as well as any third-party KLICKfix accessory. The same connection standard as the Luggage Truss Gen 2.
Integrated locking — secured against theft and accidental release
A built-in lock mechanism secures KLICKfix accessories against removal without deliberately releasing the lock. Provides basic theft deterrence for unattended bags and baskets, and prevents accidental detachment on rough terrain.
Luggage Truss Gen 2 — for head tube screw hole bikes
If your Tern bike uses head tube screw holes rather than a Combo Mount, the Luggage Truss Gen 2 ($97) is the correct choice. Same KLICKfix interface and lock, different mounting system. Check your model with Tern's compatibility checker to confirm which version applies.
