Vektron P10
The lighter, chain-drive Vektron — Shimano Deore 10-speed, Bosch BES2 power, folds in 10 seconds, and saves $600 over the P5i.
The Vektron P10 is the more affordable entry into the Gen 4 Vektron lineup — the same OCL+ frame, same Bosch BES2 Performance motor, same 400 Wh battery (upgradeable to 500 Wh), same Magura MT4 brakes, and the same ability to fold in 10 seconds and roll through a train station. The difference is in the drivetrain: the P10 runs a Shimano Deore 1×10 derailleur system with a wide 30"–97" gear range, which makes it lighter (22.2 kg vs 23.6 kg) and $600 less than the P5i. If you're happy to maintain a chain and want more gear range across a wider spread of speeds, the P10 is the practical choice.

Bosch BES2 Performance motor — 65 Nm, 300% assist
The same Bosch BES2 Performance motor as the P5i — 65 Nm of smooth, natural-feeling assist. The Bosch Purion display is more minimal than the P5i's Intuvia — compact and thumb-operated, keeping the handlebars clean and uncluttered. Upgrade to the 500 Wh PowerPack for extended range — both battery sizes are interchangeable on BES2 bikes.
22.2 kg — lighter than the P5i
At 22.2 kg (48.9 lb), the P10 is 1.4 kg lighter than the P5i — a meaningful difference when carrying a folded bike up stairs, onto a train, or into a van. The derailleur system is simply lighter than the Nexus IGH.

The same Magura MT4 hydraulics as the P5i — powerful, consistent, mineral oil-based, and effortless in rain, snow, or mud. No compromise on braking between the two models.
OCL+ frame joint — engineered beyond ISO 4210
Tern's Gen 4 OCL+ hinge exceeds ISO 4210 and EN 15194 requirements — single-shaft design, advanced welding, robust gussets, and four igus bearings. The fold stays stiff, smooth, and secure ride after ride.
Tern Porter+ saddle — GripPad + PrimeGel padding
The P10 gets the upgraded Porter+ by Velo saddle with Tern's patented GripPad design and PrimeGel cushioning — a noticeably more comfortable seat than the Upright on the P5i.
Atlas V rear rack — multi-system compatible, 27 kg
Integrated 8-point Atlas V rack, 27 kg capacity, compatible with KLICKfix, Racktime SNAPIT 2.0, and Ortlieb Quick-Lock 2.1 & 2.2. Hidden luggage socket for front-mounted accessories. Stands upright on rack ends when folded.
