Abus ACH Superior Adaptor Chain
A 7 mm adaptor chain that connects to a compatible Abus frame lock to extend its reach around a fixed object — turning a frame lock into a full anchor system without carrying a separate chain lock. Available in 100 cm and 130 cm lengths in three colours.
The Abus ACH Superior Adaptor Chain is a chain extension that clips into the coupler port of a compatible Abus frame lock. A frame lock on its own secures the rear wheel to the frame — the bike can't be ridden, but it can still be lifted and carried away. Adding an ACH chain loops around a fixed object (bike rack, post, fence rail) and connects back to the frame lock, anchoring the bike in place. The result is the convenience of a frame lock — always on the bike, no carrying — combined with the security of a chain lock — fixed to an object — in a single integrated system. The ACH Superior uses Abus's Superior chain construction for the chain links. Available in 100 cm (sufficient for most standard bike racks) or 130 cm (extra reach for thicker posts or awkward rack positions) in Black, Metal Blue, and Light Green.

A frame lock alone prevents the bike from being ridden — it locks the rear wheel to the frame. The bike can still be lifted and removed from a rack. An adaptor chain extends the frame lock's functionality to include anchoring to a fixed object — the chain loops around a post or rack rail and the frame lock closes through the chain ends, securing the bike to the object. No separate chain lock to carry, no separate padlock. The system uses the frame lock already on the bike.
100 cm vs 130 cm — choosing the right length
