Vektron P5i
Full-size Bosch power in a bike that folds in 10 seconds — rolls through train stations, stands in a corner, and tucks into a car boot without a second thought.
The Tern Vektron P5i Gen 4 is what a folding e-bike should be — a real bike that happens to fold, not a compromised bike that happens to have a motor. The Gen 4 OCL+ frame joint is engineered beyond ISO 4210 and EN 15194 requirements; the Bosch BES2 Performance motor delivers smooth, natural-feeling assist; and the Gates Carbon Drive CDC belt with Shimano Nexus 5 hub means no chain, no grease, and practically no maintenance. Fold it in 10 seconds, roll it on its rack ends through a train station, stand it upright in your apartment. It's the bike you take everywhere — including places you normally can't take a bike.
Highlights
Folds in 10 seconds — stands upright, rolls when folded
A few lever flips and the Vektron folds to 42×85×69 cm. The rear rack ends let it stand upright independently or roll through a train station, office lobby, or elevator on one hand — no carrying required.
Gates Carbon Drive CDC belt — zero maintenance
No chain, no grease, no lube — ever. The Gates CDC belt is silent, clean, and vastly outlasts any chain. A key reason the P5i is the right pick for riders who carry the folded bike and don't want grease near their clothes or car interior.
Shimano Nexus 5 IGH — 263% range, twist shifter
Five internally geared speeds shift smoothly at any cadence, including at a standstill. The 263% range covers urban terrain and mild gradients comfortably, with a 34"–90" gear spread. No derailleur to snag, no exposed gears to clog.
Bosch BES2 Performance motor — 65 Nm, 300% assist
The Bosch BES2 Performance motor delivers 65 Nm of torque and 300% pedal assist — smooth, progressive, and efficient for urban commuting. Bosch Intuvia display with 4-mode selection and walk assist, keyed-alike frame lock with battery. Upgrade to the 500 Wh PowerPack for extended range — both battery sizes are interchangeable on BES2 bikes.
OCL+ frame joint — over-engineered by design
Tern's Gen 4 heavy-duty OCL+ hinge exceeds ISO 4210 and EN 15194 requirements — single-shaft design, advanced welding, robust gussets, and four igus bearings between moving parts. The fold stays stiff and precise ride after ride.
Magura MT4 hydraulic disc brakes
Magura MT4 hydraulic discs front and rear — mineral oil-based, excellent modulation, and effortless to operate with two fingers in rain, snow, or mud.
Atlas V rear rack — multi-system compatible, 27 kg
Integrated 8-point mounting Atlas V rack supports 27 kg and is compatible with KLICKfix, Racktime SNAPIT 2.0, and Ortlieb Quick-Lock 2.1 & 2.2. Hidden luggage socket for front-mounted accessories too.
Adjustable cockpit — fits 147–195 cm, no tools
Physis 3D handlepost, Andros adjustable stem, and Telescope seatpost resize in seconds without tools to fit riders from 4'10" to 6'5". Share it across the household without fuss.

Third-party tested for EN 15194 e-bike compliance and UL 2849 electrical/fire safety. Frame backed by a 10-year limited warranty (register with Tern Care) plus a 7-year parts availability pledge on motor and battery.
